The Starfish Story – A Lesson in Making a Difference

One morning, a man was walking along a beach that had been littered with thousands of starfish washed ashore by the tide.

In the distance, he noticed a young girl gently picking up starfish and tossing them back into the ocean, one by one.

As he approached, he asked,“Why are you doing this? There are too many starfish. You can’t possibly make a difference.”

The girl picked up another starfish, threw it into the sea, and replied,“I made a difference to that one.”
